About MTX Construction
An East Texas Steel Construction Company Built on Communication
MTX Construction LLC is a steel construction company based in East Texas, building metal buildings, barndominiums, and steel structures for commercial and residential clients since April 2022. We’re a turn-key builder with welding experience at the core of our crew. We’ve built our reputation on one idea that sounds simple but is surprisingly rare in construction: our clients always know what’s going on.
How MTX Construction Got Started in East Texas Steel Construction
MTX Construction opened in April 2022 with a focus that hasn’t changed since day one. Metal buildings are our bread and butter, and steel structures of every kind are our niche. We didn’t set out to be a company that does a little bit of everything and nothing especially well. We set out to be the builder East Texas calls when the project involves steel.
That decision shaped the kind of team we put together. Our crew has hands-on welding experience, and we have certified welders for commercial work, where structural connections and custom steel fabrication need to meet a higher standard. Over time, we added the services that naturally surround a metal building, including concrete, insulation, and general contracting on select jobs. That way our clients can get a complete project from a single company instead of piecing one together from several.
Because we stay in our lane, you get a builder who has worked through the questions your project is going to raise. Before the first piece of material shows up, we talk through layout, door placement, clear spans, slab thickness, insulation choices, and how the building will actually be used day to day.
In a few short years, that approach has carried us onto commercial and residential job sites across the region, from Tyler and Longview to Palestine, Athens, Marshall, and the towns in between.
A Turn-Key Metal Building Contractor That Does More Than Erect Steel
Being a turn-key builder means we take responsibility for the whole job, not just one slice of it. A typical project starts with planning the building around how you’ll use it. From there we pour the concrete foundation, erect the steel frame, install panels, add insulation, and wrap up the details that make the structure ready for use.
On some projects, we step into a general contracting role, coordinating additional work so the building is finished the way you need it. On others, our welding experience comes into play for custom steel work that goes beyond a standard building package. For commercial clients with existing metal buildings, we provide metal roofing and restoration work that extends the life of structures that have seen better days.
What ties all of it together is steel. Every service we offer either supports a metal building or makes one better, which keeps our crew sharp at the work that matters most to our clients.
Our Commitment to Clear Communication on Every Construction Project
If there’s one thing we want every client to say about MTX Construction, it’s that they were never left in the dark. Our main goal on every job is that you understand everything happening on your project.
That means you know what work is being done and why. It means you know when the job is going to be completed, and you hear from us right away if anything affects that timeline. It means no question goes unanswered, whether it’s about materials, scheduling, layout, or what happens next. We’d rather over-explain than leave you guessing, because construction is a big investment and you deserve to feel confident about where your money and your project stand.
Because we stay in our lane, you get a builder who has worked through the questions your project is going to raise. Before the first piece of material shows up, we talk through layout, door placement, clear spans, slab thickness, insulation choices, and how the building will actually be used day to day.
We’ve found that good communication solves most of the problems people associate with contractors. When expectations are clear from the start and updates keep coming throughout the build, there are fewer surprises, fewer frustrations, and a much better finished result.
Certified Welders and Real Steel Experience on Commercial Jobs
Commercial work makes up the largest share of what we build, and it’s where our welding background matters most. Businesses rely on their buildings every day, and a steel structure that isn’t built right quickly becomes a costly problem. Our certified welders handle commercial structural work with the precision and accountability those projects demand.
That experience gives commercial clients confidence that their warehouse, shop, storage facility, or custom steel structure is in capable hands. It also means we can take on projects that go beyond a standard metal building kit, adapting to the specific needs of the site and the business using it.
Growing Our Residential Metal Building and Barndominium Work
Commercial projects are our foundation, but we’re actively growing our residential work, and we’re excited about it. Barndominiums have become a favorite way for East Texas families to build a home that’s durable, open, and efficient to construct, and a steel construction company is a natural partner for that kind of project.
Homeowners and landowners also come to us for residential shops, garages, barns, and storage buildings. We bring the same planning, communication, and workmanship to a family’s barndominium or backyard shop that we bring to a commercial client’s warehouse. Residential clients get the benefit of a builder who works with steel every day and knows how to make the most of it.
To keep our attention where it belongs, we stay focused on metal buildings and steel structures. Our residential work centers on new buildings and the concrete and insulation that support them, which lets us give every homeowner the full benefit of our steel experience.
Standing Behind Our Work With a One-Year Workmanship Warranty
We believe a builder should be accountable for what it puts up. Every MTX Construction project comes with a one-year workmanship warranty. If something we installed comes loose or falls off within that first year, we’ll come back and repair it free of charge. Damage from natural disasters isn’t covered, but problems tied to our workmanship are our responsibility, and we handle them without making you chase us down.
That warranty is part of how we earn repeat customers and referrals. A building is a long-term investment, and we want you to feel good about choosing us long after the crew has packed up.
